Prepaid Store Credit
k.o.s allows customers to purchase prepaid Store Credit. As long as your Store Credit account has a positive balance greater than your next order total, your purchases will automatically and instantly be settled via the Free Checkout payment option, without the hassle and risk of filling in card details each time. Please topup a few days in advance to allow time for your payment to clear and be allocated to your account.
You can pre-pay a certain budget to cover several k.o.s purchases (e.g. a monthly grocery budget) and then enjoy instant hassle free checkouts.
How to purchase prepaid Store Credit:
- deposit funds into the k.o.s bank account (see bank details below)
- use your email address as payment reference
- email Proof of Payment to
- we use your email address to allocate your payment to your k.o.s account
- we allocate cleared funds the next morning by 10AM on weekdays
- you will receive an email confirmation of Store Credit

k.o.s accepts online Credit Card payments.
Payment may be made via Visa or MasterCard. Card transactions are processed for Kom Ons Spaar (Pty) Ltd via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are an approved payment gateway for South African acquiring banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the kos.shopping website. Our customers may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
k.o.s accepts EFT payments with instant clearance via PayGate's SiD InstantEFT payment option.
SiD Instant EFT allows secure payments directly from ABSA, Capitec, FNB, Nedbank, or Standard Bank. Bank details are not stored but encrypted and securely sent to your bank on your behalf.
Please be patient, SiD takes a while to complete. Your payment is automatically assigned to your k.o.s order with the correct reference.
NOTE: If for some reason SiD InstantEFT does not work for your device and browser combination, then please consider Prepaid Store Credit (see above).
Bank Transfer (standard EFT)
If Bank Transfer (standard EFT via Internet Banking) is the only payment method available to you, then please consider Prepaid Store Credit (see above).
Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
